PART 1: Community Service reflection

Hi! my name is Seedrik Perkins T. and I welcome you to my blog. Hope your having a great time. If that be the case, then that’s awesome. If not, well! Never lose hope! Ok! Let’s talk a little bit about me. I’m currently studying information technology and I’ve had some experience in the field for a while now. You've probably guessed I should surely love what I’m learning. You’re right, that’s exactly the case. I’ve always been passionate about IT since I discovered it for real. Aside from IT, my interest is equally driven towards a whole lot of other sectors like Politics, Spirituality, Philosophy, Personal development and the Economy, just to name a few. I don’t have a particular aim of being in the political sphere, but I feel somehow concerned with the manner in which the society in which we duel is managed. Personally, I think ignoring how the laws that govern you are been parsed, voted or manipulated is being naïf. Why? They affect you in one way or the other, whether you like or not. My interest in spirituality is partly motivated from the society I come from. Ignoring the rules of spirituality in life exposes us inevitably to become victims. In as much as philosophy is concerned, I pay attention to it because it attempts to give to answers to the fundamental questions of life. Who are we? Were do we come from? What are we doing here? And where are we going? Answers to these questions make our society a nice place to be. Why? I you know who you are, you won’t try to copy someone else. If you know where you come from, then you know your origin and that keeps you on the right tract. If you what and why you are doing what you do, then you shall do it in the best possible way as though you were to give account of it. Finally, If you know where you’re going, then the sense of purpose will keep you focused and disciplined such that you won’t miss your destination. Personal development is of great importance because it generates in us a sense of growth and progression. Thanks to this, I’m constantly striving to be accountable. What’s going on in the economy is of particular interest to me because you know, financial independence ought to be everyone’s goal. If you can earn enough money to cover your expenses without necessarily having to work on a daily basis, then you are financially independent.

T.S. Perkins
Your Productivity in any domain is proportional to the amount of Time, Energy and Finance invested i.e. P[X] α TEF.

I think classifying a skill as soft or hard can be sometimes misleading. Reason why I won’t make a table of two columns with soft and hard skills on both sides. Some skills I’ve observed in my life or have had people identify them in me include; Easy adaptation, public speaking, transferring knowledge and skills, charisma, singing, manual work, computer maintenance and network administration.

All through my life I’ve always loved helping others. From childhood with children to adulthood with all manner of individuals. Why? Helping others gives me a sense of purpose and gratification. Especially when I don’t expect anything from them. Putting a smile on people’s faces and generating a sense of satisfaction in them is what I expect the most from this experience. In the course of doing that, I hope to learn from their various experiences as it has always been the case.

Having shared with you my motives and expectations in the few words above, the answer to what I will gain from volunteer work is sufficiently clear. I will gain a sense of satisfaction and gratification. Learning from others’ experiences in life have helped me avoid their mistakes. And that for me has no price.

PART 2: Blogging

I have no experience about blogging and I’ve never blogged before. Nevertheless, I like vlogs because of their ability to quickly transmit information.

I'm driven by VISION just to serve You.

PART 3: Watch the video

As an IT technician who has always been passionate about entrepreneurship, I’ve had a couple of ideas in relation to what I do professionally. My first business plan was about opening a maintenance shop to fix people’s computers while selling some spare computer parts. The whole thing was so feasible on paper. I had all the financial previsions made, the estimated turnover, the number of sales weekly, monthly and annually. The market research and the other stuff was done. Unfortunately, this whole ideal dream was very far from the reality of the society I dwell in. Why? Very few people fix their damaged computers and electronic devices. They simply buy new ones or make use of their numerous assurances and rights to return any electronic device damaged within the warranty period. I equally tried affiliate marketing, ecommerce and drop shipping. Again, this idea works best in societies where the transport system is sufficiently developed to favor the rapid and fluid mobility of goods at a relatively low cost. Unfortunately, it happens that this isn’t the case in our province. That’s why ecommerce is so underdeveloped here. Obviously, we face the undesirable consequences. We powerlessly watch the American giants take advantage of this and invade us with their huge multinationals. The only thing our political leaders find to say about this is that: “they have to pay their own fair share”, referring to taxies. Why not invest or subsidize in our transport logistics so we can fairly compete with them and make money for our own economy? It’s totally legitimate for a customer who waits for a product for more than two weeks to deposit a complaint at the “Division des petites créances” of Quebec. No young entrepreneur is ready, nor desires to deal with such issues. Consequently, after sustaining my ecommerce business for a couple of months without any entries, I had no other option than to quit.
